Armenia’s Eurasian Union membership should not block EU ties, Lithuanian foreign minister says

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meetings with the Armenian president and foreign affairs minister “it was underlined that Armenia’s relations with the EU are an important stimulus to continue internal reforms in the country, and Lithuania is ready to contribute to the dialogue.”

“The EU should continue and strengthen cooperation with Armenia in all areas compatible with the country’s chosen foreign policy line,” the minister was quoted as saying in a statement.

Linkevičius also expressed delight over a growing trade volume between Lithuania and Armenia and the fact that Lithuanian-Armenian business forums would soon be held in Vilnius and Yerevan.
