Lithuania to start diplomatic relations with Tuvalu

The government authorized Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Raimonda Murmokaitė to sign the joint communiqué with Tuvalu.

Under a draft governmental resolution prepared by the Foreign Ministry, Tuvalu has twice turned to Lithuania for the start of diplomatic relations, however, it was rejected due to the country’s stance on South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
