400 Lithuanian troops begin standby duty in NATO Response Force

Lithuanian troops have also been assigned for standby in the UK-led Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), which is being created, it said.

The troops from the Lithuanian Land Force, the Special Operations Force, the Logistics Command, the Deployable Communications and Information Systems Module, and the military police will be on standby for different components of the NRF.

All the military personnel assigned to the Alliance’ rapid response units will continue to serve in their permanent bases throughout the standby period, but they will maintain a very high level of readiness.
