At the request of Vilnius prosecutors, the Central Electoral Commission lifted the candidates’ legal immunity.
“Conversations and text messages among the individuals raise a suspicion that they were talking about buying votes,” Prosecutor Linas Kuprusevičius said at the commission’s meeting on Friday.
