Hours not worked due to strikes amounted to 1,714 working days, 296 of which due to warning strikes. The average strike lasted for 2.05, while warning strike for 0.33 working days.
Statistical information on strikes has been collected since 2000. In 15 years there were 635 strikes in Lithuania and 27,200 people participated in them. Throughout this period education institutions organised 98.9 percent of strikes, in which 95.2 percent of the striking employees participated.
