Adamkus, Grybauskaitė, Skvernelis are most popular politicians

The survey has found that the two most disliked politicians are Valdemar Tomaševski, leader of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania–Christian Families Alliance (EAPL-CFA), and Rolandas Paksas, Lithuania’s impeached president and a former leader of the Order and Justice party.

In the BNS/RAIT survey, respondents were asked to give their opinion about current and former heads of state and government and leaders of parliamentary parties.

Lithuania’s two-time President Adamkus was favored by 75 percent of respondents and not favored by 4 percent.

Both Skvernelis and Grybauskaite were rated favorably by 67 percent of those surveyed. However, the president received a slightly higher unfavorable rating than the prime minister, at 12 percent and 7 percent, respectively.

Viktoras Pranckietis, the speaker of the Seimas (parliament), was rated favorably by 48 percent of respondents, versus an unfavorable rating of 7 percent.

RAIT polled 1,020 people aged between 15 and 75 years on Feb. 9-26. The representative survey was commissioned by BNS.
