The arbitration ruled in favour of Air Lituanica airlines, while Estonian Air will have to pay LTL 3.3 million (EUR 0.9 million) to the Lithuanian company.
On 4 December 2013 Air Lituanica initiated arbitration proceedings against Estonian Air. After the Estonian company unilaterally terminated commercial co-operation agreement it remained in debt to Air Lituanica for the passengers that Air Lituanica had transported and deposits it had paid.
The decision to launch proceedings was made after Estonian Air refused to cover the debt after terminating the contract, thus breaching its terms.
