Second most-quoted banker is Gitanas Nausėda, advisor to the president of SEB Lithuania. Nausėda came third on the list overall.
Over the first half of this year, other experts representing business organisations or the public sector became more visible too. Governor of the Bank of Lithuania Vitas Vasiliauskas and Stasys Kropas, head of the Association of Banks in Lithuania, were respectively second and fourth on the list of most quoted people in Lithuania. The Top 5 ends with Renata Saulytė, the retail chain Maxima’s communications chief.
“Compared with H1 of 2014, the Top 3 remained unchanged, although the number of quotes of Mačiulis and Vasiliauskas decreased. Meanwhile, the number of quotes of Kropas and Danas Arlauskas, head of the Lithuanian Business Employers’ Confederation, significantly increased. In the first case, the increase was driven by communication regarding the euro adoption in Lithuania, and in another case it was influenced by public debates on the new social model,” says Linas Spečius, head of the TNS LT Communication Analysis department.
