Delfi.lt news portal said with reference to info.tv that a young female was accusing Majauskas of the misconduct.
“I am denying the information that will soon be published about my misconduct. At the same time, I want to emphasize that every call must be heard and taken seriously. It is the best preventive instrument against naturalization of violence,” said Majauskas.
The MP said he had always done his best to comply with the highest standards, however, in his words, his operations as the chairman of the parliamentary Commission for Prevention of Suicides and Violence required public trust.
“Amid such information, it will be hard for me to continue in the position, therefore, I will step down during the nearest meeting,” he said.
Majauskas is suspending his membership in the conservative party “until all doubts are dispelled.”
