The Conservatives question whether this is not recompense for undeclared consultations by D. Gudelis and upcoming work during campaigning. The opposition also finds the number of tenders won by the company, their scale and links to the ruling party, which the businessman consulted during the Seimas elections, to be suspect.
The Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrat (TS-LKD) Seimas group is initiating an investigation on potentially non-transparent organisation of state publicity tenders, abuse of office and potentially non-transparent electoral campaign financing, as well as illegal lobbying.
The opposition party has contacted the Seimas Anti-Corruption Commission and also plan to appeal to the Public Procurement Service and Central Electoral Commission.
“The question arises whether D. Gudelis has not become the same to the current prime minister as Yuri Borisov was to Rolandas Paksas and this question should be thoroughly reviewed,” TS-LKD group prefect Gabrielius Landsbergis stated.
