High school graduates who will be sent to isolation during the final exam session will be able to take the exam after obtaining a negative test result, the Ministry of Education announced today.

According to the ordinance of the Ministry of Health, students will be able to leave the place of isolation and go to the examination centre if they show a negative result of the PCR test, which is to be performed no earlier than 48 hours before the exam and do not have symptoms of coronavirus on the day of the exam.

Citizens are deeply concerned about the impact of the pandemic on youth education, and in particular on their physical and mental health. According to residents, young people need contact activities and meeting friends most during quarantine. However, according to a new study by the company Kantar, young people need live contacts.

“While older people think that young people lack return to normal activities the most (this is what 41% of respondents say), half of the surveyed students agree with it. In fact, they just lack contact. They miss not only meeting friends, but also outdoor events or festivals, or interactions in smaller groups – visits to cafes, shops or new contacts, ”said Renata Sadunišvili, market research director at Kantar.
