EC to discipline France on posted workers wage regulation

“We have two member-states with the same law – Germany and France. Regarding Germany, we have already started infringement procedure and in a few hours we will send the same letter to France. Procedures are being finalized. From the single market perspective, it raises a lot of concerns and we are actively discussing this issue,” Bienkowska told Vilnius journalists after meeting with Lithuania’s Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius.

“Lithuania’s government does not support the European Commission’s proposal on revision of the directive on employee posting. In the government’s opinion, the current proposal will have a negative effect on the competition of member-states of the European Union,” Butkevičius said after meeting with the EC official.
