EU Health Commissioner Andriukaitis going to Ebola outbreak countries

During the first working visit in this capacity, Andriukaitis will aim to evaluate and step up the counter-Ebola measures in the region, from where the virus has spread to the rest of the world, including Europe, the commissioner’s bureau said.

The five-day visit includes meetings with presidents, health ministers and doctors of the three countries and representatives of international humanitarian organizations. Andriukaitis also plans to visit hospitals and other sites important in the anti-virus efforts.
