EUR 48,000 raised during 25th Christmas charity event in Kaunas

Nearly 200 guests took part in the charity and donated money to seriously ill children. LTL 166,000 (EUR 48,000) was collected during the event. The money will be used to purchase insulin pumps, light-weight folding wheelchairs, hearing aids and means to develop motor skills.

Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas who attended the event said he was pleased that for a quarter of a century the residents of Kaunas have been showing an example to others how to share kindness.

Ambassador of Austria to Lithuania Johann Spitzer welcomed the participants of the charity event and invited them to be generous during the auction of artistic works.
