Exports of Lithuanian agricultural produce to Iran on the increase

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lithuania, Ramin Mehmanparast, visited Lithuania’s Ministry of Agriculture and met with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Vilius Martusevičius to discuss possibilities of cooperation in trade, science, and veterinary areas.

“Figures of Lithuanian-Iranian trade are very good, yet, all the potential has not yet been fully unlocked, especially now when our laws have been changed and our products can meet the halal standards,” the deputy minister said.

The Iranian ambassador noted that it is essential to hold more inter-institutional and business missions. “It is important to maintain the exchange of information so that we can visit each other and this way expand our cooperation and encourage companies to invest more,” he said.
