First maker space in Baltic states opens in Vilnius

“You will not find anything even comparable 500 kilometres away from Vilnius. Everybody who visits the space will be able to use the latest technologies and create prototypes from metal, wood or plastics. We believe that this will speed up and strengthen the community of makers, and for some will accelerate the start of their own businesses,” says Alisa Matsanyuk, the founder of Green Garage.

Not only future inventors are welcome at Green Garage, but also technology start-ups, entrepreneurs children, teenagers and students. The space will be very useful for people such as architects, engineers, scenographers and designers, whose professions require specialised industrial equipment.

A learning centre will soon be established here, where robotics, programming and modelling courses will be held. Green Garage plans later to create a methodology that will enable training for the development of a variety of prototypes.
