Foreign investors interested in Lithuanian national airline, PM says

“We are now waiting for the election in the city of Vilnius to end. We have several plans for how to have a clear airline and I think that the government is ready to contribute to the creation of that program if a serious investor comes in,” he told the Žinių Radijas radio.

The prime minister said that foreign investors would be willing to contribute to the creation of a national airline as well.

“If a national carrier were a purely Lithuanian-owned company, then it would hardly have clear prospects for the future. We are now working with some companies and they are interested in investing and starting to work here,” he said.
