From March 10 all passengers arriving in Lithuania will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result

The Ministry of Transport and Communications recalls that as of today, the 10^th of March, all passengers arriving in or returning to Lithuania by any mode of transport via international routes are required to provide proof of COVID-19 disease (coronavirus infection) test and a negative test result obtained not earlier than 3 days prior to the arrival.

All passengers returning to or arriving in Lithuania via international routes by regular, special or charter trips must provide a proof of a COVID-19 test performed not earlier than 72 hours before the arrival. A serological antibody test result shall not be accepted. The obtained test document, as well as a QR code received upon filling out the National Public Health Centre’s questionnaire, must be provided to the carrier before the trip. This requirement is mandatory for all passengers over the age of 16.

Carriers, travel organisers and tourism services providers organising and performing international passenger and tourist transport by regular, special and charter trips must ensure that passengers failing to provide a proof of a COVID-19 test and an obtained negative test result are denied boarding.

Upon close observation of compliance with the above requirements, by the order of the State Commander of National Emergency Operations, a selective screening of passengers arriving by such trips shall be performed as of Monday.

Passengers travelling by their own means of transport must have a proof of COVID-19 test performed not earlier that 72 hours before the arrival in Lithuania or must register for testing within 24 hours after the arrival.

An exception shall be made only for crew members, as well as persons in transit through Lithuania, persons under the age of 16 and also those vaccinated against COVID-19 or those previously infected and now recovered.

Arriving or returning passengers must also undergo self-isolation.
