“This government ruling will ensure legal clarity, what documents must be presented for a legal entity to be able to sell non-prescription drugs.
It also defines the procedures, how retailers can be entered into the prescription drug retailer list, how their right to sell medicine can be halted, the block on the right removed and how the retailer is removed from the list.
This step is necessary to ensure improved medicine accessibility for the people,” Minister of Healthcare A. Veryga stated.
All questions related to company licensing will be curated by the State Medicines Control Agency.
The Ministry of Healthcare reminds that retailers will have the right to sell only medicines, which are entered into the State Medicines Control Service approved list of medicines allowed for sale in retail stores.
