Last week, the government delayed its discussion on the NPD increase because no source to compensate for the budgetary losses had been stipulated. According to the Ministry of Finance, these losses could reach €242 million per year.
An agreement was made to discuss this issue with specialists from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Social Security and Labour and make a decision at the ministerial level.
In December last year, the Government did not agree to the Labour party‘s proposal to tie the NPD to the country’s minimum wage.
The NPD is currently €200.
