“Erikas Zubrus has gathered a good team and achieved excellent results. We are truly grateful for the job he has accomplished. Erikas is not going to withdraw from the activities of the airline altogether – he will be Air Lituanica’s consultant on strategic affairs,” says Air Lituanica chairman of the board Kęstutis Binkauskas.
Binkauskas adds that the change of the director does not change the airline’s objectives; besides, the new head has also been working at the airline since its establishment and is well aware of its operations. Gumuliauskas was the director of Ground Operations Department at Air Lituanica and was chief operations officer at the airline from January this year. He has over 8 years of experience in the aviation business. Before Air Lituanica, he was the director of Ground Operations & In-flight Services Department at charter airline Small Planet Airlines.
Air Lituanica started operations on 30 June 2013. Over the first year, the airline handled 100,000 passengers. The airline currently operates 43 weekly flights from Vilnius Airport to destinations in Europe.
