Homeland Union remains Lithuania’s most popular party – Delfi/Spinter poll

Some 17.1 percent of respondents said in August they would vote for the conservative Homeland Union, unchanged from a similar poll in June. The LVŽS would get 15.8 percent of the vote, slightly up from 15.4 cent, the poll conducted by the pollster Spinter Tyrimai for Delfi.lt showed.

The Order and Justice party came in third with 8 percent, slightly down from 8.2 percent in June.

Gintautas Paluckas‘ Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), in fourth place, saw its approval rating drop to 5.8 percent in August, from 7.8 percent in June.

The latest poll also showed the Labor Party‘s popularity falling to 4.9 percent, from 6.7 percent.

Support for the Lithuanian Liberal Movement last month declined to 3.8 percent, from 4.6 percent two months earlier.

The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania–Christian Families Alliance would receive 3.7 percent of the vote, slightly down from 4 percent.

Spinter Tyrimai polled 1,007 people aged between 18 and 75 years across Lithuania on August 24-31. The results of the survey have an error margin of 3.1 percent.
