During their visit to the country, IMF representatives paid meticulous attention to the development of Lithuania’s economy and the Government’s policy: they took interest in the execution of the state budget for 2014, guidelines of budget for 2015, the country’s fiscal policy, accession to the euro zone and other issues.
The IMF mission was led by Christoph Klingen, deputy head of the Division of Poland and the Baltic States at the IMF’s European Department. The mission visited Lithuania from 30 September to 6 October.
IMF says it will publish an assessment report in the short run.
