Kaunas mayor still 2nd among Lithuania’s most popular politicians

According to the survey by Vilmorus pollster, Matijošaitis is favored by 51.7 percent of respondents, up from 50.8 percent a month ago.

“Matijošaitis is second for the second time. He is favored by as many as 80 percent of respondents in Kaunas. This is a rare phenomenon. The positive ranking in Kaunas was 70 percent in May. He is indeed a star. Probably the image in Lithuania is that Kaunas is developing well on the economic and cultural front,” Vilmorus CEO Vladas Gaidys told BNS.

Grybauskaite remains on top of the list of politicians, supported by nearly 63 percent of those polled, which is an increase from 60 percent in September.
