Komskis said the claim to the court should be send by the end of the day.
“My lawyers are drafting an address to the Lithuanian Supreme Administrative Court,” he told BNS.
The politician said he would ask the court to overturn the electoral watchdog’s decision on election results in single-member voting in the Šilutė constituency.
Lithuania’s Central Electoral Commission has found gross violations of the Law on Seimas Elections in the buying of votes in the Šilutė constituency in support of the Order and Justice party’s candidate Komskis and the party’s candidates in multi-member voting, namely, Komskis, Remigijus Žemaitaitis, Vytautas Kamblevičius and Vaidas Bendaravičius.
According to data provided by the Prosecutor General’s Office, a group of residents of Šilutė, western Lithuania, offered alcohol, cigarettes and cash to local voters in exchange for their votes for candidates of the Order and Justice party.
Komskis maintains he has nothing to do with buying of votes, saying he had learned about it from the media and dismissing it as provocation. After the investigation was opened, he suspended his membership in the Order and Justice party.
