Kryzevicius will take up the position on April 28, the president’s office said on Wednesday.
The parliament on Tuesday dismissed Kryževičius from his duties as judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania. Kryževičius had worked in the court since 2007, including as its president between 2009 and 2014.
Kryževičius was chairman of the Judicial Council between 2010 and 2014.
