“Kurlianskis never was on the list of employees, never was a representative of the legal person, he did not have permission to represent MG Baltic’s interests,” lawyer Linas Belevičius, representing MG Baltic, told the court.
The lawyer said Kurlianskis was not the company’s vice president.
Prosecutors say Kurlianskis bribed politicians, seeking the adoption by the parliament of favorable decisions for MG Baltic.
If found guilty, MG Baltic faces a fine, activity restrictions or liquidation.
