Labor Party loses 2,000 members in six months

The Labor Party said it had 12,517 members, compared to 14,459 it declared in March. 240 members also left the Order and Justice party over the past six months, and the party now has 12,043 members.

The Social Democratic Party of Lithuania lost a large number of members after splitting last year. The party told the Justice Ministry it has 17,677 members, which is 855 fewer than in March.

Former social democrats, the Social Democratic Labor Party of Lithuania, have seen their member numbers grow as it had 3,000 members in March and now has 3,277.

The other ruling party, LVŽS, added 20 members, reaching the total of 4,332.

The opposition conservative Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats lost 280 members and has 14,243 members.

The Center Party declared 3,919 members.
