Šimašius was commended for effective political activity, for promoting liberalism in the public and on social media and for his contribution to the good name of the party.
Rietavas mayor Antanas Černeckis was awarded for effective work in the ruling majority of the municipal council and for being the only liberal who to win mayor election in the first round. Černeckis has been elected the mayor of Rietavas for the fifth term.
Druskininkai municipal council opposition leader Juozas Šarkus won the award for effective work in the opposition of the municipal council.
Vidmantas Valantiejus, a liberal from Kėdainiai, was awarded as the most active liberal.
Awards were also given to those who contributed the most to the foundation of the party and its success: Petras Auštrevičius, Eugenijus Gentvilas, Gintaras Steponavičius, Antanas Guoga and Eligijus Masiulis.
The Liberal Movement also paid tribute to politicians and public figures who embrace liberalism, but are not members of the party: journalist Rimvydas Valatka, philosopher Leonidas Donskis and President Valdas Adamkus.
