The Government of Lithuania said on Tuesday the agreement was signed on Monday during Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius’ visit to the Stanford Research Institute SRI international.
According to the statement, it will be a mutually-beneficial cooperation as students from Lithuania will be able to work at a NASA research center, use NASA infrastructure and resources and gain experience through cooperation with NASA scientists. Meanwhile, NASA will get the property rights of any inventions made by Lithuanian students during the course of the program.
