Lithuania is listed among moderate innovators, the Economy Ministry said.
According to the press release, Lithuania went up from the 24th place to the 16th, ranking above Poland, Latvia, Spain, Malta, Italy, Slovakia, Greece, Hungary and Cyprus.
The scoreboard found innovations-friendly environment, cooperation between business and research, as well as human resources as Lithuania’s main strengths.
The European Innovations Scoreboard is headed Sweden, followed by Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands. Estonia ranked 15th, Latvia 24th and Poland 25th.
