Lithuania launches international search for man suspected of killing his family

The suspect was put on the international wanted list on Monday evening, Ramūnas Matonis said.

The man is suspected of killing his mother, father, grandmother and father’s brother, whose bodies were found in the family’s home in the village of Gaiženai in the district of Kaunas at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.

Another man, the suspect’s great-grandfather, was found with a gunshot wound in his leg and was rushed to a hospital in a state of shock.

Police have expanded their manhunt for the suspect, who is possibly armed, to other districts of Lithuania after forensic experts at the murder scene established that the shooting had occurred before Monday.
