Lithuania offers best public WiFi in the world

With average speed of 16.1 Mbps, Lithuania beat her northern neighbour Estonia, in the second spot, and such technologically advanced nations like Singapore, Switzerland and the Netherlands that complete the top five.

The UK-based tech watchdog Rotten WiFi surveyed the speed and quality of public hotspots in 184 countries and compiled a list of 20 with best provision of free access to internet.

The majority of countries in the Top 20 are located in Europe, only a couple in North America and one in Asia. The survey also recorded clients’ satisfaction with WiFi systems while travelling and this year satisfaction rank in the top list is 4 or 5 out of 10 based on NPS method.
