The Cabinet on Wednesday will discuss a resolution on the agreement between the governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on the Rail Baltica development project, Tomas Beržinskas, the prime minister’s spokesman, confirmed to BNS.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, who took office in late December, said earlier this month that he was not sure if he would sign the document as his government had not had enough time to scrutinize all aspects of the project.
Transport Minister Rokas Masiulis also said last week that he wanted to look into the details of the Rail Baltic project, adding that it was realistic to reach an agreement by the spring.
The three Baltic prime ministers are expected to sign an agreement on the time-frame, route and other technical parameters of the Rail Baltica project in Tallinn on January 31.
