“Thirteen refugees successfully arrived from Greece to Lithuania,” Interior Minister Tomas Žilinskas told BNS.
By now, Lithuania has received 124 refugees under the EU program and still has about a year to meet its commitment to the EU to host the remaining number of nearly 1,000 refugees.
The interior minister has said Lithuania would not be able to meet the deadline, if it fails to expand its infrastructure capacities or revise the integration scheme.
Another 60 refugees are expected in Lithuania by the end of the month.
