President backs Government in its bid to cut university numbers
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė backs the government in its bid to cut the number of universities.
“A higher education reform is among the top priorities identified by the president for the 17th government. The president supports the government in its efforts to reduce the number of higher education institutions and improve the quality of higher education,” the president’s press office said in a comment to BNS on Wednesday.
Lithuania currently has 14 state universities.
