Lithuania to increase its contribution to international operations by 30 pct

The council decided to step up Lithuania’s participation in NATO, UN, US and EU-led anti-terrorist and security assurance operations in 2018 and 2019, President Dalia Grybauskaitė‘s press office said in a press release.

“According to the president, a more active role by Lithuania in countering terrorism will help ensure both our national interests and the security of the country. Lithuania’s participation in international operations will increase by 30 percent in the next two years,” it said.
