Under the government’s resolution, the refugees would be resettled in Lithuania by December 31, 2017.
Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius said at the meeting that the issue would now be discussed at the parliamentary European Affairs Committee.
“The European Affairs Committee should address the issue as early as tomorrow, it should authorize the interior minister, the discussions are now moving to the Seimas (…). For now, I think a committee should be enough,” said Butkevičius.
