The commission will deal with issues related to the Jewish culture and history, heritage, Jewish cemeteries, the preservation of mass burial cites and other issues important for the community.
The commission will be chaired by Government Chancellor Alminas Mačiulis and also involve vice-ministers of the interior, culture, education and science, as well as representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage and Lithuanian and foreign Jewish communities.
