Next year’s draft central government budget, which has been recently submitted to the parliament for approval, provides over 1.9 million euros for the complex under construction in Vilnius’ Pilaitė neighborhood.
Another 5.8 million euros are to be allocated for the project in 2020.
VSD would give no details about how exactly the money would be spent.
“The state investment project is slated for completion by 2020. I can’t offer any further comment because this is classified information,” Aurelija Katkuvienė, the intelligence agency’s spokeswoman, told BNS.
The total cost of the project was earlier estimated at 80.5 million euros.
VSD says its new complex complies with NATO‘s modern security level standards.
