The Liberal Movement’s board on Wednesday approved a list of seven members one of whom will be selected as the party’s presidential candidate.
The seven members are MEP Petras Auštrevicius, MPs Eugenijus Gentvilas, Vitalijus Gailius and Arūnas Gelūnas, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius, Klaipėda Mayor Vytautas Grubliauskas and Elektrėnai Mayor Kęstutis Vaitukaitis.
“The party’s members will by April name the person who will be the Liberals’ presidential candidate,” Gentvilas, the party’s chairman, said in a press release.
Lithuania will hold the next presidential election in May 2019.
