“I wouldn’t rule out such a possibility,” Paksas, a member of the Order and Justice party, told the website when asked about his plans to found a new movement.
“As I already said half a year ago, I believe that today we need a new civic organization drawing together people who are still thinking, all people, for the purpose of the survival of the nation,” he said.
According to 15min, the new movement will likely be named “I Call the Nation“, in reference to a popular song by Vytautas Kernagis, based on a poem by Bernardas Brazdžionis.
Paksas says that all people, including members of all political parties, who support the idea “the nation — Lithuania — the state — the national state” will be welcome in the new movement.
Petras Gražulis, another member of the Order and Justice party, has confirmed that he would join it.
