Lithuanian parliament committee says EC’s refugee quotas would undermine integration capabilities

The committee has said it is concerned that refugee relocation quotas proposed to Lithuania by the European Commission (EC) would undermine the country’s capabilities to analyse asylum applications and integrate refugees.

On Wednesday the National Audit Office presented to the Seimas committee a report on a preliminary study Management of Immigration Processes. Auditors informed about deficiencies in these processes and submitted recommendations on how to deal with them.
