Lithuanian parliament likely to put off labour code reform to autumn

“I don’t think we will be able to include it into the agenda. We cannot discuss such urgent laws on the fast track,” Graužinienė told the Žinių Radijas news radio.

In her words, the parliament “will definitely hear out all parties concerned – trade unions, employers and employees”.

The spring session is due to close on June 30, with the autumn session scheduled to start on September 10.

“There will be no extraordinary session. I have repeatedly told the government that they have to follow the plan, as we have agreed. It was very late, and the parliament will not wait,” said Graužinienė.
