The draft amendments, submitted by MP Antanas Matulas, were supported by 46 MPs, while 5 MPs voted against with 22 abstentions. After discussions in the Seimas committees, the draft law should be returned for the Seimas voting on 1 December.
MP Matulas expects that the ban would better protect people from passive smoking and its harmful effects.
