Lithuanian parliament speaker: President accused MPs of falling under criminal influence

Graužinienė said during an interview on LRT television that she was unsure if similar accusations would not occur when the president proposed a third candidate for the prosecutor general‘s position. Therefore, until appropriate institutions finish their investigations, she will not include another candidate for discussions in the parliament.

Mrs. Graužinienė said: “I want all the questions answered as soon as possible: Was the parliament influenced when voting on the prosecutor general or not? These are very serious accusations, so these questions cannot be left unanswered.”
