Lithuanian police detain man suspected of kiling his family

The man was detained in the county of Marijampolė, in the southern part of the country, the Kaunas County Police Headquarters said.

More information is to be provided at a news conference in Kaunas scheduled for 2 p.m.

Police conducted an overnight manhunt for Egidijus Anupraitis, 26, who is suspected of fatally shooting his mother, father, grandmother and father’s brother, whose bodies were found in the family’s home in the village of Gaiženai in the district of Kaunas at around 6 p.m. on Monday.

Another man, the suspect’s great-grandfather, was found with a gunshot wound in his leg and was rushed to a hospital.
