Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products decreased by 3 percent, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels, 1.1 percent, of those engaged in trading in non-food products, 4 percent at constant prices. The largest decrease in turnover was observed in retail sale of footwear and leather products (19.5 percent), flowers, plants, seeds, fertilisers (17.6 percent) in specialised stores.
In June 2014, against June 2013, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 3.4 percent at constant prices (working day adjusted – increased by 2.4 percent). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products decreased by 1.5 percent, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – increased by 3.1 percent, of those engaged in retail trade in non-food products – increased by 9.7 percent at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of furniture, lighting equipment and other household articles (52.6 percent), audio and video equipment (41.8 percent) in specialised stores, and retail sale via mail order houses or via the Internet (35.4 percent).
In June 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to LTL 135.8 million (EUR 39.3 million) and, against May, decreased by 3 percent at constant prices. Compared to June 2013, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 7.2 percent at constant prices.
