The majority of the participants will include employees of the secretariat of the Supreme Rada’s European Integration Committee and the Interparliamentary Relations Department, the Lithuanian parliament’s Public Relations Division said.
During the two-day training on Tuesday and Wednesday, the staff of the Seimas office will teach the Ukrainian colleagues about the structure of the office, its functions and tasks, as well as operations of the parliament’s committees of European Affairs, National Security and Defence and Foreign Affairs. The Ukrainian participants will be briefed on the work of the Seimas office’s International Relations Department and the European Information Bureau, with discussions about the importance of cooperation among parliaments in the European Union.
The training is organized by the Seimas office in cooperation with the International Republican Institute.
