A new study has revealed these and other Lithuanian vacation trends. According to the study, 8 of 10 Lithuanian residents had at least one vacation this year and 1 out of every 5 chose to spend it at the beach, with a few less choosing tho holiday in villages instead. These trends remain similar to last year’s – their expenditures, destinations and means of transportation have not changed significantly. Lithuanians’ vacation budgets rarely exceed €500, and most trips are taken by car.
According to experts, Lithuanians choose cars because they like to vacation with their families or larger groups. This year, the numbers of people choosing to vacation at holiday homes fell by half. Experts also say that lower travel costs have prompted a switch towards more active trips.
